Flap Frenzy ("the App," "we," "us") is developed by Zachary Jones, an individual developer ("the Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. It applies to the iOS and Android versions of Flap Frenzy.

If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact: flapfrenzygames@gmail.com

Summary

Flap Frenzy is a casual arcade game. You can play the entire game without creating an account — your progress (coins, gems, unlocked levels, and settings) is stored only on your own device by default. If you choose to sign in for cloud save, that progress is also stored under your account so it can follow you to a new device. The App shows optional short video ads (through Google AdMob) that you can choose to watch in exchange for in-game benefits, and offers optional in-app purchases handled entirely by Apple's or Google's own payment systems. We do not sell your personal information.

Information We Collect

1. Game progress data (stored locally on your device). Coins, gems, unlocked levels, purchased skins/power-ups, and in-game settings (sound, haptics, etc.) are stored locally on your device using standard on-device storage. This data never leaves your device unless you turn on cloud save (see below).

2. Anonymous device identifier. The App generates a random identifier the first time you install it, used to support you (e.g., look up your progress if you contact us) and to link your device's activity to an account if you later sign in. This identifier is not derived from any personal information and is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

3. Account and cloud save data (only if you choose to sign in). If you choose to sign in (e.g., with your Google account) to enable cloud save, we store your game progress under your account so it can sync across your devices. Authentication itself is handled by the sign-in provider (e.g., Google) — we receive only the minimum information needed to identify your account (such as a unique account ID), not your password or other account details. Signing in is entirely optional; the App is fully playable without it.

4. Advertising data (Google AdMob). The App uses Google AdMob to show optional rewarded video ads (watched voluntarily, in exchange for an in-game benefit). Google's Mobile Ads SDK may collect device and usage information — such as advertising identifiers, general device information, and app interaction data — to serve, measure, and (depending on your consent choices) personalize ads. This data is collected and processed by Google, not by the Developer directly. See Google's Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services for details. Where required by law, you'll be asked for consent before any personalized advertising is shown, and you can decline and still see (non-personalized) ads. On iOS, you may also be asked for App Tracking Transparency permission if ads are personalized; you can decline this in your device settings at any time.

5. Purchase information (in-app purchases). The App offers optional in-app purchases (e.g., gem packs). These are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store's own payment systems — we never see or store your payment card details. We receive only confirmation that a purchase was completed, so we can grant the corresponding in-game items.

6. Information we do NOT collect. We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, precise location, or browsing history, and we do not request any permissions beyond what's needed for the features above.

How We Use Information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-Party Services

The App relies on the following third-party services, each of which processes certain data under its own privacy policy:

Children's Privacy

Flap Frenzy is intended for a general audience and is not directed at or marketed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the address above and we will delete it.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored progress is removed automatically when you uninstall the App. If you've signed in for cloud save, you can request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us at the address above; we will delete it within a reasonable time, except where we're required to retain it by law.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the revised policy.

This document is a starting-point draft, not legal advice. Have an attorney review it — especially the third-party/ad-consent and children's-privacy sections — before relying on it, and revisit it again once cloud save and in-app purchases move from mocked to real, and once real (non-test) AdMob ad units go live.
