Privacy Policy
Tee Wars is made by Buzzworthy Games LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the game collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: hello@buzzworthy.games.
What we collect
- An account ID. When you first open the game we create an anonymous account so your progress is saved. It is a random ID, not your name.
- Your email address, only if you choose to sign in with Apple or Google to keep your progress across devices. Apple may give us a private relay address instead of your real one.
- Your player name and profile (avatar, rank, stats) as you set them in the game. Other players may see these, and friends you add in the game can see the turf you hold and play against the rounds you won it with.
- Gameplay data: holes played, scores, shots, items earned and spent, and similar events, so we can run the game, balance it and fix problems.
- Recordings of your rounds: the shots you play on a hole (club, aim, power and where the ball went) and your score. We may replay them to other players as computer-controlled rivals ("ghosts"). A replayed round never shows your name, avatar or player number. You can turn this off in the game under Settings > Share My Rounds.
- Diagnostics: error and crash reports, the game's version, your device model and operating system version.
- Purchases: what you bought and when. Payment is handled by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
We do not collect your precise location, contacts or photos, or your device's advertising identifier. We do not sell your data or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
How we use it
To save and restore your progress; run turf, rivals (including replays of other players' rounds, without their names) and events; deliver rewards and purchases; balance the game; find and fix bugs; and answer support requests.
Who processes it for us
- Google Firebase, for account sign-in and the save database.
- Cloudflare, for downloading game content (like any web host it sees your IP address when content downloads) and for forwarding email sent to our support address.
- Apple and Google, for sign-in and payments.
How long we keep it
Your save and profile are kept while your account exists. Gameplay and diagnostic reports are kept for up to 12 months and then deleted or anonymised.
Your choices and rights
- You can play without signing in with Apple or Google.
- You can stop your rounds being shared as rivals in Settings > Share My Rounds. When you delete your account, your recorded rounds are deleted from our servers; rounds already built into the game carry nothing that identifies you.
- You can delete your account and its data in the game under Settings > Delete Account, or by emailing hello@buzzworthy.games.
- Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California) you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your data. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children
Tee Wars is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update this page and the date above when this policy changes, and tell you in the game if the change is significant.
